Nonpoint Source Program Seeks Public Comments on Special Purpose Incentive Funding
The State Revolving Fund (SRF) Nonpoint Source (NPS) Program recently announced a competitive special purpose funding incentive opportunity for communities to construct NPS water quality improvement projects.
This opportunity seeks to incentivise applications that aim to significantly enhance water quality, showcase sound design, and demonstrate project readiness.
The NPS special purpose incentive provides loans at 0% interest for the first $500,000 of construction costs for eligible NPS projects. The first round of applications for this incentive will be accepted from September 1 to December 1, 2024.
An updated application and application instructions are available for review and comment on the SRF General Nonpoint Source webpage, as well as scoring criteria and program details published in the DRAFT SFY 2025 Intended Use Plan.
Public Comment Period: Comments on the Special Purpose Incentive Funding opportunity will be accepted through July 5, 2024 via email to to srf-pc@dnr.iowa.gov.
